When Surfside Beach Residents Need Portable Storage
Projects here follow the beach seasons, and each one needs space for furniture and other household items.
Storage Between Beach-Home Moves
Many buyers here purchase a second home, and the closing date often lands before the old house sells or a rental ends. Owners moving between a beach home and a primary residence use the container to hold the furniture and boxes through the gap between homes.
Clearing Rooms for Coastal Home Repairs
Replacing floors, updating a kitchen, or repairing a roof can leave furniture in the way. A portable storage container gives you space to move household items out of the work area while contractors complete the job.
Making Space Before Selling a Beach Home
Extra furniture and personal belongings can make rooms harder to prepare for listing photos and showings. Store items you do not need every day while you sort what to keep, sell, donate, or move to your next home.
Storm and Water Damage
Heavy rain, coastal flooding, or a roof leak can leave rooms needing cleanup and repairs. When conditions are safe, move unaffected belongings away from the work area so repair crews have room to work. A STOMO portable storage container can provide extra storage during repairs, but belongings should not be placed in a container where floodwater may reach them.
Why Choose a Container Over a Storage Unit?
Storage units in Surfside Beach, SC mean loading a vehicle, driving to a facility, and unloading, then repeating the whole process for every carload. A container sits in your driveway, so you carry items straight from the house into it and walk out whenever you need something. Skipping the drive matters most in summer, when beach traffic fills Highway 17.
If your lot or condo community cannot hold a container, STOMO can store it at our temporary storage facility instead.
Traditional Storage Unit
Load a vehicle, drive to the facility, unload, and repeat the process for every carload.
Portable Storage Container
Carry belongings directly from your home into the container and keep them close while you work.

How do I choose between the 8×16 and the 8×20?
