StoMo Mobile Storage & MoveMo Moving is a locally owned, family-operated company that delivers portable storage containers and provides moving help across South Carolina. We started in Camden as a traditional self-storage business, and we built STOMO to give our neighbors a simpler, more personal choice than the national chains.
Whether you are renovating, staging a home for sale, moving between houses, or recovering from storm damage, we take care of the storage and the move so you can focus on everything else. We live here, we work here, and we know South Carolina’s weather, neighborhoods, and roads.
STOMO began as Storage1, a traditional self-storage facility in Camden, South Carolina. As our customers’ needs changed, we changed with them.
In 2016 we moved to mobile storage, so the container comes to the customer instead of the customer driving to a facility.
Once people had a container at home, many asked for help loading it. We listened, and that feedback led to MoveMo Moving. Today STOMO offers local moving, long-distance moving, apartment moving, and portable storage across the Midlands, the Lowcountry, and the Grand Strand.
STOMO is locally owned and family operated, with leadership rooted in South Carolina and years of storage experience.
The company grew by listening to what customers needed and building services around those needs.
Josh and Chesnut have more than 15 years of experience in traditional self storage. They started in Camden with Storage1 and moved the business to mobile storage in 2016, and they have led STOMO’s growth across the Midlands, Conway, and the Lowcountry since then. They set the standard for how every job is handled, from flat-rate pricing to a crew that shows up as promised. They also stay close to customer feedback, which is how our moving service started.
Gus has been with STOMO since the first day. He was on site for the first build out and has helped lead the company’s growth since then. When customers asked for loading help, Gus took the request seriously, and that is how our moving service started. He works with each customer to decide what they need, whether that is a full moving service or simply unloading a container that arrived from out of state.

We deliver an 8×16 or 8×20 container to your location. You pack it at your own pace, and we store it or move it when you are ready. Our containers are built for South Carolina’s storms, coastal moisture, and summer heat, and climate-controlled container options are available in both sizes.
